When I first started writing email newsletters several years ago, I began to write an occasional letter to a well known film actor, as a way of venting some of my feelings, both positive and negative. They turned out to be among the most popular features of the newsletter, and so, last year, I spent three months rewriting and adding names, until I had nearly 100 letters which I published as a book.
Despite initial interest from several publishers, no one actually signed on the dotted line - it was not a great time for the publishing business - although I live in hope that one day my prints will come. In the meantime, I have updated the letters, popped a picture beside the words, and continued to add stars/actors to the list. I'd love any feedback you have, plus suggestions for other stars who need/deserve a letter. And of course, if you happen to count a film star among your close personal friends, make sure you draw their attention to the site, because a response from one of the actors in question would be a big treat.
And in order to help you keep up with what's worth watching - my mission in life being to help in that respect - I have added a list of the best films that the specific star has appeared in, complete with links taking you directly to the review. Don't say I never do anything for you.
