WALL-E (2008). The first half of this Pixar animation is exquisite, like a silent movie. Wall-E is a waste disposal robot left behind on earth to clean up the mess left behind by the surviving humans who have taken to space. The second part, which mostly takes place on the space ship, is good, but less so.
