LA VEUVE DE SAINT-PIERRE (2000). Juliette Binoche plays the wife of Daniel Auteuil, the governor of a small French island in 1850, whose warm heart is stirred by a prisoner waiting to be guillotined once the executioner and equipment arrives from France. A good straightforward and well made French film.
