UZAK (2002). A very impressive film from Turkey's best known director, Nuri Bilge Ceylan. A middle aged photographer living alone in Istanbul reluctantly takes in a younger cousin from the country as a temporary guest, while he's looking for work. But jobs are hard to find, and the two men live in separate bubbles of isolation. A moving and also slow-moving film that is one of the most eloquent depictions of loneliness I have seen.
