2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY (1968). In its time, this was a wonder to behold on the big screen, full of amazing imagery, apparently complex philosphical thinking, and a scope as big as the universe. All these years later, it still demands to be seen at full size, but some of the profundity seems more like trendy pop culture. Still iconic, but not necessarily a great film.
