First out of the block in the post-apocalypse movies, this was also the loudest and silliest, but also quite fun if you park your sensitivity and brain before you watch it. Having John Cusack as the hero helps, along with likes of Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton and Woody Harrelson. It's the end of the world as we know it, due to some kind of sun difficulties, which means large sections of the earth collapse just as you're taking off in a plane. Spectacularly ridiculous.
