THEN SHE FOUND ME (2007). Helen Hunt (who made herself too thin) directs as well as starring in this film about a woman to whom everything happens at once. Her mother dies, her husband leaves her, her real mother shows up, she gets pregnant and finds a new bloke. It’s a lot for us to manage as well as her, especially when the new mother turns out to be Bette Midler. The main redeeming feature is Colin Firth as the new bloke. His capacity to look in love on screen never ceases to amaze me.
