SCARFACE (1983). Scenery-eating excess from Al Pacino as a Cuban gangster who gets delusions of grandeur (and some real grandeur as well) in this de Palma-directed opera which is in love with violence and mad masculinity. The violence is excessive, as is the whole thing. Cocaine is a Bad idea – we knew that.
