RAN (1985). Kurosawa’s King Lear, with sons replacing daughters. Instead of the black and white in which most of his films are made, there is glorious colour. The big Chinese war epics of recent years aren’t a patch on this.

On the Video Front

On The Video Front is Bath’s longest running and most successful dvd rental shop. It opened in 1986, and is still going strong. We open at 11 in the morning and close at 8 in the evening, Monday to Saturday. On Sundays we are open from 2 till 8. Our staff are well informed, helpful and friendly. We have a great range of films, old and new, and new titles arrive every week.
