REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE (1955). Although in many ways dated, this still contains a spellbinding performance from James Dean as a troubled teenager trying to remain true to his self in a world where he is cast as a troublemaker and outsider. The scene with his parents is stunning in its power. Natalie Wood is endearing as his girlfriend and you can spot a young Dennis Hopper as a nasty piece of work.
