REAR WINDOW (1954). There are so many great Hitchcock movies, it’s easy to be blasé. But this one is really very very good indeed. James Stewart (too old for the part, if you want to be fussy) is a photographer with a broken leg, trapped in his flat with no one for company except his girlfriend Grace Kelly (jammy bastard). Things perk up when he begins to suspect that the neighbour across from him is up to no good.
