QUADROPHENIA (1979). For my money, the original Who album is the real work of genius, but this is an OK film based on the music, which is set in the 60s world of Mods and Rockers (the Mods are the good guys). Phil Daniels plays the geeky hero, with Sting (before he became too self-important) as the Coolest Dude in town.
