I can see that some people like to be scared by films, but surely they could ask for something more than this Exorcist rip off, with more Boo Movie moments than an extended cut of Alien.
The first film was a hit three years ago, based on a clever marketing campaign that suggested it was some kind of Blair Witch At Home movie, whereas its main originality lay in having the story told via surveillance cameras, rather like the superior Spanish film, (Rec). This sequel is actually a prequel, showing the events that led up to the first film; and essentially this is just an inferior retread, with unknown actors, cameras observing night time weirdness, all culminating in a climax that has plenty of Scary Moments, but no logic whatsoever.
By the way, a Boo Movie Moment, is the equivalent of someone standing behind the door and jumping out and shouting boo when you come through the door. Guaranteed to make you jump - but so what?
