THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST (2004). A truly vile film. Not being a Christian does not prevent me from seeing the distortions and perversions of Christianity that Mel Gibson has perpetrated in the name of his religion. Worse still, the film is stuffed full of cinematic cliché and Catholic iconography, so as to render it almost unwatchable to all but the most dedicated. There are many other better films about Jesus.
