ONEGIN (1999). I would have expected to enjoy this a lot more than I did. Ralph Fiennes is the eponymous Russian aristocrat whose meaningless life leads him to go back to the country where he falls for Liv Tyler, but seems unwilling/unable to let her know – something I find immensely irritating in films. It’s a classic Russian novel which means that people are unhappy and die, and the meaning of life is unsuccessfully sought after.
