OF MICE AND MEN (1992). There was a film made of this Steinebeck book in 1939, but this is a superior version, with John Malkovich and Gary Sinise (who also directed the film). Malkovich is Lenny, a giant baby of a man, who is looked after by George. The pair of them travel across the country finding work where they can. Lenny is strong, but he gets them into trouble, and it happen again here. Malkovich is exceptional as Lenny, conveying size strength and simplicity.
