NEXT (2007). Imagine how useful being able to see two minutes into the future would be. Well, no, imagine how profoundly implausible such an idea is, whose real consequences the film never remotely explores. Nicolas Cage (he does get everywhere) is the man with the foresight, and so naturally the government (in the improbable form of Julianne Moore) wants to employ him to track down a rogue nuclear missile. Right.
