A Chilean film about a live-in maid who has been part of the family for over 20 years.
But of course, that's the problem; she's not one of the family. She may live with them, work for them, and spend most of her waking hours caring for them, but she comes from a different background, and has no obvious horizons beyond that of the family she works for. They can't bear to get rid of her, but they can't bear to live with her.
The trailer could be suggesting this is either a comedy or a horror film, but the reviews I've read suggest it's neither. Nor is it an assault on privileged people taking advantage of the poor and ignorant. It sounds more like a humane perspective on the difficulties of the relationship between the family and the person who works for and lives with them. It may just not be a very good arrangement.
