MALCOLM X (1992). Denzel Washington has never been better and judging by his current output, never will be. He plays the Black Power leader in Spike Lee’s impressive biopic following him through his years as a pimp, drug dealer and crook, before he saw the light and discovered his charisma. Terrific stuff.
