MEMENTO (2000). Christopher Nolan imprinted his name on the consciousness of the cinemagoing public with this exceptional film about a man who has lost his memory; and to make life more complicated, the film is told backwards. It sounds more complicated than it is, since the film is easy to follow once you get the hang of it. Guy Pearce stars as the man who’s trying to find out who killed his wife and child, with only a few tattoos on his body to help him solve the mystery, as well as the unreliable (but gorgeous) Carrie-Ann Moss.
