THE MAGNIFICIENT SEVEN (1960). Aka The Seven Samurai Go West. Pinched from Kurosawa’s masterpiece, this is still a lot of fun (and not quite as long) as Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen lead a band of hombres to protect a poor village of peasants from the bad guys. I grew up on this film, and am blind to its failings.
