LABYRINTH (1986). Popular kids film starring a young Jennifer Connelly as the sister whose brother is kidnapped by the goblin king (David Bowie); so she has to go and rescue him. The special effects are by Jim Henson and everything is very well put together, but it doesn’t have anything like the subtlety of another adolescent girl’s film – The Company of Wolves.
