LAND AND FREEDOM (1995). Possibly my favourite Ken Loach film, set in Spain during the Civil War with Ian Hart as an idealistic young man who goes to fight fascism in the International Brigade and finds a lot more than he expected. It covers some of the same ground as Orwell’s Homage To Catalonia.
