KNOWING. (2009). Even by Nicolas Cage’s rock bottom standards, this is dire stuff. Apocalyptic warnings are found on a piece of paper buried in a time capsule 50 years earlier, and our Nic manages to decipher them, even though he can’t stop the disasters. The only reason this film can have been popular is because it fits in so neatly with certain Christian fundamentalist fantasies. Nuff said.
