It's unusual for a writer's new script to be the main focus of interest when a film is released, but when the author is Diablo Cody, who gave us Juno, then you can understand why. The Jennifer of the title, as played by Megan Fox, is the object of lust (boys) and envy (girls) for the entire school. But when a rock band trying to get a record deal use her in a bodged sacrifice to Satan, she gets a taste for the blood and flesh of teenage boys, and only her nerdy friend Needy can stop her. As horror/high school movies go, this is different - in a good way.
