THE JUNGLE BOOK (1967). Not my favourite Disney film, though many love it. Very loosely based on Rudyard Kipling’s book, it retains the character of Mowgli, plus Baloo the Bear and Bagheera the black panther, not to mention the ferocious Shere Khan. The songs are OK (if you have to have songs), and it’s all very jolly, but it’s a long way short of Pinnochio or 101 Dalmatians.
