JOURNEY TO THE CENTRE OF THE EARTH (2008). Jules Verne’s story keeps getting retold, and each time it bears less resemblance to the original. Brendan Fraser heads into the earth’s core and finds all sorts of scary creatures, though not too scary, this being a family movie. It was also made as a 3D movie, which isn’t going to work on dvd.
