IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE (1946). Some films are beyond criticism, they have simply passed into the realm of mythology. This is such a film, which you can revisit as often as you like and never get tired of it. James Stewart is the family man, weary of the burdens life has given him, who is about to end it all, when his guardian angel offers him the chance to see what life would have been like if he had never existed. If you haven’t seen this film, put this down and do so now.
