IN MY FATHER’S DEN (2004). An Australian film starring Matthew McFadyean as a man who comes back to his home town for his dad’s funeral and runs smack bang into a whole bunch of family issues involving his brother and his late dad. Most interesting though is the relationship he develops with teenager Emily Barclay who has her own family difficulties. The closeness of their friendship is matched by the disapproval with which it is greeted, and when she goes missing, fingers are pointed at Matthew.
