I HEART HUCKABEES (2004). The influence of Charlie Kauffman can be seen in this slightly strange but mostly enjoyable comedy in which Jason Schwartzmann’s neurotic character is mentored by existential detective Dustin Hoffman, and thwarted by smarmy Jude Law (always at his best playing scumbags). In a world short of intelligent and unusual comedy, this is a rare and enjoyable beast.
