THE HAPPENING (2008). M. Night Shyamalan is living proof of the Law of Diminishing Returns. Kicking off with The Sixth Sense, he has reliably produced a new and worse film year after year, and this is his worst so far, an eco-thriller so devoid of thrills that the only things duller than the title is the film itself.
