HALF NELSON (2006). Excellent film about an inspirational teacher (played by the sensational Ryan Gosling) who also smokes crack. He befriends a 13 year old girl (no, it’s not sleazy) and has to find a way of reconciling his burnt out ideals with his commitment to the kids. Recommended.
