THE GIRL FROM PARIS (2001). Sandrine works in Paris in computers, but is not fulfilled; so she relocates to the Rhone Alps and buys a goat farm from an old farmer who’s looking forward to retirement, but stays on at the farm meanwhile, disapproving of her methods, while noticing how successful she is. It’s a plot we’ve seen before, but done with such elegance, grace and precision that it feels as fresh as a goat’s cheese.
