GOODFELLAS (1990). One of Scorsese’s very best films. It focuses on a small group of gangsters in New York who operate at a pretty small scale (apart from their participation in a huge robbery at Air France which proved to be their undoing). The story is told from the point of view of Henry Hill (Ray Liotta), a young man who dreams of being one of the gang, along with Robert de Niro and Joe Pesci. This is a film which everyone should see, unless you are put off by violence.
