GENOVA (2008). Colin Firth is the father of two daughters, grieving the loss of wife and mother, killed in a car accident. They go to Italy (see title) for a change of scenery, and the two girls respond differently, while Firth tries to find his way back into life. Director Michael Winterbottom creates atmosphere from very little, and the film engaged me thoroughly until the end which I found superficial and lazy.
