FAR FROM HEAVEN (2002). I love this film. Julianne Moore has never been better and deservd an Oscar for her performance as a 50s housewife trying to preserve the image of a perfect family in the face of events that make that impossible, and her attraction to a black guy. The film is a deliberate hommage to Douglas Sirk movies but it transcends that limitation to become a masterpiece in its own right.
