THE FALL (2006). I could try and describe the plot of this film, but it wouldn’t convince you that it is a film that you should see. Which it is. There are no stars, you’ve never heard of the director, but all I can say is that I’ve seen it three times, that it is sublimely beautiful, that it features one of the most amazing child performances I’ve ever seen, and that everyone who sees it adores it. The closest parallel I can offer is The Princess Bride, but it’s very different. You’re just going to have to trust me on this one.
