THE EMERALD FOREST (1985). I have a soft spot for this film, which could claim to be one of the first ecological movies ever made. Charley Boorman (son of the director) is lost in the jungle as a small boy, and when his father finally tracks him down, he is assimilated into a native South American tribe. Beautifully filmed, and worth watching.
