EDGE OF HEAVEN (2007). Fatih Akin's follow-up to the excellent Head-On takes in three sets of parents & their children across two continents. A film about race relations & identity & the social consequences of Globalisation that is filled with gentle hope & brittle melancholy, this is a quiet, complex movie, superbly acted & filmed, that makes you yearn just a little for the whip-crack hedonism of the first film.
