L’ENFANT SAUVAGE (1970). Few directors can act, but occasionally Francois Truffaut appeared in his own films with great effect. Here he plays a liberal 18th century doctor who takes care of a child who has grown up wild in the forests of Aveyron. A humane and insightful movie about the boundaries between nature and nurture.
