DEAD MAN’S SHOES (2004). A truly terrifying movie by Shane Meadows about a man who is determined to take revenge for the treatment of his brother. Paddy Considine is the vengeful soldier. What makes the film unusual is that it is set on a housing estate in the Midlands. What makes it special is that it is gripping from start to finish and leaves you gasping for air. Recommended, but not for the squeamish.
