DARATT (2006). Set in Chad at the end of a 40 year long civil war, this is a tale of vebgeance deferred. A teenage is told by his blind gradfather to take a gun and avenge his father’s death, since the murderer has been amnestied. But as know, things are never quite that simple. A beautiful slow film from the director of Abouna.
