THE CAT RETURNS (2002). Animated feature from Studio Ghibli (but not directed by Hayao Miyazaki), in which a girl who can speak to cats finds herself in an awkward situation when she saves a cat’s life, and discovers that he is a prince and she is expected to marry him. Not the very best Ghibli films, but irresistible like all of them.
