CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF (1958). An old Tennessee Williams filmed in the 50s probably doesn’t have quite the edge that it once did, but Paul Newman is always good to watch, as – in this case – is Elizabeth Taylor. In the original play, Newman’s character Brick is gay, but the film suppressed that element.
