CASANOVA (2005). The idea of Casanova fascinates film makers, but no one has yet managed to make an interesting film about the man who was so shagadelic that he made Austin Powers look like the Pope. Heath Ledger seems altogether too wholesome for the part, but the film suggests that he’s just been sleeping about a bit till he finds true love. More of a romp than a serious film, it is easily forgotten.
