CARLA’S SONG (1996). Robert Carlyle stars as the Glaswegian bus conductor in Ken Loach’s film that changes location halfway through and relocates to Nicaragua. Like all of Loach’s film, the commitment to justice and equality is absolute, and there is little concession made to fulfilling conventional character arcs.
