CAPOTE (2005). In Hollywood’s inimitable way, there were two Truman Capote films made at the same time (Infamous was the other), but Philip Seymour Hoffman’s performance is so good that this film is immeasurably the superior. It has a quiet reflective feel, as well as numerous excellent supporting performances, from Catherine Keener as Harper Lee, and Chris Cooper as the local sheriff among others. A really superb film.
