BABEL (2006). The third and (so far) final collaboration between Inarittu and Arriaga is in some ways the least effective, despite or perhaps because of the starry cast involved. Once again we have parallel, apparently disconnected narratives which come together at the end, though not in a very satisfying manner. There are some powerful moments and it’s better than many higher profile films.
