AU REVOIR LES ENFANTS (1987). One of the best school films of all time; one of the best films set in WW2; simply a great film. Based on Malle’s own experiences, it tells the story of a boy at a school which receives new pupils, one of whom he befriends. The trouble is, if he’s Jewish, the police will come looking. Please watch this film.
