AMAZING GRACE (2006). BOATS. I thought I might be bored by this film but was pleasantly surprised by it. Ioan Gruffudd stars as William Wilberforce while he conducts his crusade against the slave trade, pausing only to marry Romola Garai. The complex politics of the situation are presented simply and well, and we are able to feel both the righteousness of his cause and the stupidity and greed of those who opposed the fight.
